An infant young girl (baby born without skin) has been born with almost no outside body skin, at Paliganj primary health centre (PHC) on Saturday.

The condition, known as Harlequin Ichthyosis, a severe genetic disorder which leaves the entire body encased in armour like thick white plates, separated by deep cracks.
This disorder affects aprrox. 1 baby in 3 lakh births. Deputy superintendent Dr Shiv Lal Chaudhary, said the baby was born around 6:00 am on Saturday and the delivery was normal.
